This exquisite daisho is extremely well made as anyone can see from these pictures.  They are both flawless and come in a fresh polish.  They both have an ubu (unaltered) Nakago and are completely signed by the same smith.  The katana has a full signature and the wakazashi has his abbreviated signature as is commonly done for wakazashi, as they have less room for a long mei (signature).  The papers attribute both the katana and the wakazashi to the first generation Masayuki of bungo province.  It is very rare to find a matched Daisho set of blades.  Many Daisho have the katana made by one smith and the wakazashi made by yet another smith.  The only thing making them a set are generally the koshirai (fittings).  This set has nice matching fittings and matching flawless blades in a fresh polish.  The hada is the first thing to catch your attention on these swords as they are very well done, the katana being extremely beautiful.  The hamon on these swords have nice hataraki and are very elegant in their appearance.  The overall subtle beauty of these swords really illustrate fine Japanese taste. These wonderful swords made by the first generation Masayuki are excellent examples of his work.
