This is a long Echizen Seki katana that is mounted in good koshirai.  The hada is very active and course in some places.  The hamon is a mix of nie and nioi, it is active and well made.  Echizen swords were known to cut well and this sword is also well balanced.  The mounts are sound and the saya was restored to the original dark brown lacquer.  The handle is also sound.  This blade comes in mounts and with paper's attesting to its quality.
