Akinori was a student of Akihide.  He died young so few swords by him were made.  Most of his swords were signed differently.  This one was obviously a special order blade and therefore signed this way.  He added  at the end of his signature Seitan or "well made".  This is one of the best quality gendaito that we have offered for sale.  The signature is 100% genuine.  This sword was polished by Moses Becerra in his preferred sashikomi style polish that is very difficult to do.  The beauty an elegance of this sword is clearly visible even for a novice collector.  The hamon is balanced very well and has many hataraki/activity from sunagashi, ashi, yo and many more.  Please look at the pictures for more details.  Actually this sword looks better in hand.  The hada is forged in a ko-itame style and is very silky and has a even milky appearance to it.  For a collector interested in owning a high quality gendaito, this is a great choice for its beauty, condition and quality.
