This is a good solid example of a samurai sword from the 1700's.  It appears to be a mino school blade.  The mounts are newly restored to be used for iaido training.  This sword should be submitted to shinsa in the future.  It is rather long and has a good balance.  Clearly this is a well made sword for the average samurai to use and carry.
