A beautiful Shinto possibly Shin-shinto Katana this sword is reminiscent of much earlier work. The blade is a longish mumei piece with a fine hada and attractive hamon. At 26 7/8 this blade is a wonderful piece. The hada is a Mokume with itame  There is a longish wavy kissaki. There is nie visible in many places on this blade. The hamon is made up of gunome based in sugu-ha which would look spectacular in a fresh polish.  A fantastic sword with much to enjoy and appreciate.

The koshirae is a nice set. There matching iron fittings in the higo style. There is a tsuba with some gold loss and red lacquered saya and matching gold ito and sageo of black.

This sword should be submitted to Shinsa at some point.
