MICHITOSHI IWANO [ANSEI 1854 MUSASHI] SHINSHINTÔ CHÛSAKU

Signature:              OITE HIGASHI EIZAN FUMOTO IWANO MICHITOSHI TANSOTETSU SAKU

This rather long shin-shinto katana is a very sound and healthy blade.  The blade is wide and has a beautiful curvatuer.  The quality of the sword is also very good.  The activity in the hamon is balanced and style  flashy.  The hamon is bright and has very good activity.  The hada is milky looking and  is forged well.  The overall feel of this blade is one of a well balanced beautiful katana that is very sharp.  The dragon koshirai are sound and a new lacquered saya adds value to the overall sword to preserve the sword in a clean scabbard.  No shirasaya is necessary for this blade.
