This is an extremely long and wide sword.  It looks and feels massive in hand.  There is not much information on this smith but he made a very impressive sword.  The hamon is active and beautiful with many hataraki to enjoy.  In hand it is much easier to see the work in the hamon.  The habuchi is thick and well defined.  The hada is extremely tight and shows some large hada in places.  The smiths from this era experimented with materials and techniques.  In this large katana you can see a very wonderful attempt at producing a fine gendai-to.  The koshirai are all matching and made apparently for this blade.  The saya has ground shell in the lacquer and is in good shape.
