SEKI ZENJÔKE MUSASHI NO KAMI YOSHIKADO MAGO CHIKANORI SAKU

Once again we offer a very fine sword of 28" long made by a highly rated smith in "CHÛJÔSAKU" level.   Chikanori of Hitachi made this elegant and refined long katana.  It is not made in a flashy style but more in the old SHIBUI style that many Japanese enjoy.  It is a very subdued style that shows quality and elegance in its shape, hada and Suguba hamon.  The signature is explaining that "Satetsu" was used in the swords construction.  More than likely a custom ordered sword made or an important person.  The overall quality are very good also and a new lacquered saya has been made for this so it can be displayed in its original mounts.  This is a long sword at 28" and the fact that the signature is detailed, long and dated makes this a fine quality collectable shin-shinto era katana.
