This a great quality tanto attributed to Echizen shimosaka.  The hada is very fine quality and tightly forged and has a milky look to it.  The hamon is suguba and is in the style of fine Japanese understated taste with nice work in it.  Good Horimono are carved on this beautiful tanto.  Overall condition is excellent and flawless.
